SRF: ( Service Request Form )

Since most all motorcycle parts look identical to one another is very easy to mix them up in a busy shop. Our answer is the SRF. Including this simple form inside the box with your parts will ensure your parts get the correct service, personalized attention and prompt return. After placing your order for any service requiring you to send in any part of your motorcycle, please complete and send this form with your parts.

KEY INFORMATION

KEY UPGRADES & EXTRA KEYS:

   

All of the lost key services provided come with Type-1 keys which are aftermarket keys with NO LOGOs and may or may not resemble the OEM key head shape. In some situations an aftermarket Type-2 key will be available for you to upgrade to. The Type-2 keys are aftermarket keys that resemble the OEM keys but are NOT OEM keys. If the option to upgrade the keys is available it will be listed as an option in the item description under your particular brand/model motorcycle,

BE ADVISED:

When you UPGRADE your keys you will ONLY pay for the key, cutting and programming is already included in the price of the service option you selected. When you BUY EXTRA keys you will need to pay for the key PLUS for cutting and programing. The price of extra keys reflects the added cost



SERVICES

LOST KEY & CODE CARD RECOVERY SERVICE:

The Key/Code Card Recovery options are for those of you who would like to once again have a full set of keys with matching Code Card without breaking the bank by having to change out all your locks, and replacing your dash and ECU (Like the way specified by the dealer). These options are much simpler and easier on your wallet than the Stealership alternatives

OPTION 1:

Select this option if you have at least one working key and the original dash. If you have NO keys or a dash that is NOT original to the bike then you must select option 2 bellow.

   NOTE:  If you bought a used dash off eBay or a forum to replace a missing or broken dash on your bike, then you will need to SELECT OPTION-2 bellow.

  • ECU ( If applicable for your make/model )
  • Transponder Unit ( If applicable for your make/model )
  • Completed SRF ( SEND WITH PARTS )

OPTION 2:

This option is if you have NO KEYS or CODE CARD or if you have a dash that is not the original to the bike. Basically this option is for "Insurance" or "Auction" purchased motorcycles or if for some reason you have misplaced all your keys and code card.

  • Your Dash ( Original or Not )
  • Your Ignition Switch
  • ECU ( If applicable for your make/model )
  • Transponder Unit ( If applicable for your make/model )
  • COPY of Proof of Ownership (For security reasons)
  • COPY of Government ID (For security reasons)
  • Completed SRF ( SEND WITH PARTS )
You will receive:
  • All Your Original Parts
  • Two(2) Aftermarket Keys ( Type-1 )
  • Two(2) Key Cutting & Programing Service
  • One(1) Physical Aftermarket Code Card ( If applicable for your make/model )
  • One(1) Digital Code Card ( eMailed to you )

KEY CUTTING & PROGRAMMING "BY CODE":

This option may not be the best choice if you already have one working key, keep reading to find out why. This is mainly for those of you with NO KEYS but you still managed to keep your CODE CARD. In this case send us your code card info ( a picture of the back the card ) and documentation showing bike ownership and you will get two keys to match the code card with instructions on how to register them into the system. If this service is not listed for your model bike, then it is not available.  If you have one working key, your best and least expensive option will be to have that key "cloned".

IGNITION MODULES NEEDED FOR SOME SERVICES:

  HFCU ( Hands Free Control Unit )

  This is the Hands-Free ignition module from MTS-1200 or Diavel.
  This unit is where the immobilizer and other codes are stored in
  these bikes. This module must be sent along with any lost key
  service purchased for the fore-mentioned motorcycles.





  This is the ignition switch with the attached module on
  the 899 1199 and similar model bikes. The immobilizer
  and other codes are stored in this module. This module
  must be sent along with any lost key service purchased
  for the fore-mentioned motorcycles.

DASH CLONING:

  This service is for those of you replacing a damaged dash with either a new or used unit. This process
  is not available for all makes and model bikes so please contact us if you do not see this service listed
  for your bike and we will let you know if we offer it ot not.

  This service will copy all of your old damaged dash information over to the new host dash. We will
transfer all your immobilizer codes, millage and PIN numbers you may have stored. This option is also intended for those of you who DO NOT
have a full set of keys or code card needed to conduct a proper install of a new dash, so this option will save you some money by getting you
back on the road with minimal cost.

EXTRA SECURITY

USED, BANK REPO, POLICE AUCTION DUCATI OWNERS & BUYERS MUST READ
RE - KEY
and/or RE - FLASH:

If you lost or misplaced your keys/code card or if you purchased yourmotorcycle from a Police ( Fuzz/Po-po/Heat/FiveO ) auction, or even from a private seller and you intend to keep the bike or make frequent trips within the same city where you bought it or relatively close, you run the risk of theft. Simply because the possibility of the code card info or a copy of the key still being "out there" in the hands of the previous owner or someone who found your lost keys. European motorcycles are not Honda's, so you wont find ten Ducati's or KTM's or Aprilia's in the same city block, so it will be rather easy for a would be thief to find the bike if it stays within the city limits. This being said, one day that key/code card that is "out there" can run across your bike and can make away with it. Let's face it, not everyone is as honest as you and I, So unless you can account for all your original keys and code card or if you purchased your bike new from a dealer, from a personal friend or family member your bike is at risk!

These two options will lessen if not eliminate the risk of this type of theft and offer added piece of mind security, best of all its a fraction of the cost of a new Dash/Lock/Key/Card set plus installation from the dealer. Its a no brainer.

Re-key your locks ( Ignition, Fuel cap & Seat ):

You can choose to re-key only your ignition switch or for total security, change all your locks. We change the physical combination of your existing locks and provide keys to match. In most cases if you provide any of your available keys we may be able to re-cut and re-use them saving you the cost of buying new keys. Remember that if you only change the locks someone with the electronic code or PIN from your code card can still manage to ride off in your bike. So changing your locks is only the first line of defense.

Re-flash transponder codes ( Keys, Dash & ECU ):

The second line of defense will be to change and re-flash new immobilizer/transponder codes into your dash, keys and ECU ( if applicable ). This will render any original or duplicate key and electronic code or PIN out there useless. Even if they have a key that opens the locks or if they pop the ignition the bike will not start because the codes have been changed. NOTE: Some of the newer keys have "locked" transponder chips that cannot be re-flashed, in this case IF you have provided your own keys we will notify you that you will need to purchase new ones.

To summarize, for minimal added cost add one or both of these security options to your order for added peace of mind. Price shown within the "Lost Key Service Options" reflects a discount for having this job done together with your lost key/code card recovery service. You can purchase these security options without the key/code card recovery service, but the price will be higher. Obviously you'll need to send in the locks you'd want to have changed along with dash, ECU and keys if you'd like to change/Re-Flash IMMO/Transponder codes.
